Common use of Occurrence of Sickness While on Duty Clause in Contracts

Occurrence of Sickness While on Duty. Any member booking sick on duty and having completed one-half or more of the member's tour of duty, will be deemed to have completed the tour of duty. If the member completes less than one-half of the tour of duty, the number of hours equal to one-half (½) the tour of duty will be deducted from the member's sick leave.

Occurrence of Sickness While on Duty. Any member booking sick compelled to report off duty for sickness occurring whilst on duty shift and having completed one-half (½) or more of the member's hours of his tour of duty, will be deemed to have completed the his tour of duty. If he reports off duty prior to the member completes less than one-half completion of the tour of duty, the number of hours equal to one-half (½) or more of the hours of his tour of duty duty, one-half (½) day will be deducted from the member's his accumulated sick leaveleave credits.

Any member booking sick compelled to report off duty for sickness occurring whilst on duty shift and having completed one-half 4 or more hours of the member's tour of duty, will be deemed to have completed the tour of duty. If the member completes less than reports off duty prior to the completion of 4 hours' duty, ½ (one-half of the tour of duty, the number of hours equal to one-half (½half) the tour of duty day will be deducted from the member's accumulated sick leaveleave credits.
