Office in State or National Professional Organizations. Upon request of the MEA, an employee elected to a state or national office of a bona fide professional organization at either state or national level will be granted an unpaid leave of absence not to exceed two (2) years. A bona fide professional organization shall be determined by MEA President or Superintendent.
