On-Camera Appearances. 7. It is the intention of the parties to cooperate in securing competent per diems. To that end it is contemplated that the International Office, as well as the Local Unions involved herein, will establish the mechanism whereby they will become a resource for per diems, so that the Company may avail itself of that resource. On-Camera Appearances. Employees whose job functions do not normally call for appearances on camera may refuse to appear on camera, except for pan shots or incidental shots. When an employee, other than an employee assigned to Group "A", is required to appear on camera or to do voicing, shall be compensated in an amount as determined by Management and agreed to by the employee and the Union. Monetary arrangements are to be made in writing prior to the production or on-air presentation. Employees who perform commercial announcing duties will be paid thirty dollars ($30.00) per client recording session. Outside Activities No employee shall engage either directly or indirectly in activities or work which is similar in nature to any of the activities or business engaged in by the Company except with the prior written approval of the Company. Further, an employee shall not engage in activity where the same could adversely affect the public image of the Company. Union Seal Every audio or videotape recording or film that is produced by the Company shall have an official Union seal, as approved by the Company exhibited on tape or film containers. The Company shall give air credits to employees where in its opinion, such credits are merited by their contribution. The Company will provide a clothing subsidy to all permanent television news anchors at current rates. The subsidy will be paid in respect of approved clothing purchases after presentation of receipts. ARTICLE
On-Camera Appearances. Section 24.1 Planned on-camera appearances of employees, except panoramic shots, incidental shots of employees in the audience area, or in a newsroom, appearances for the purpose of greeting or congratulations and appearances in bumpers, news stories in which such employees are subjects and/or interviewees, or in openings or closes, shall be paid for at the applicable rate specified below. At the network, only a technical manager, or at the stations, only a management supervisor for engineering employees, or the appropriate management supervisor for employees in other departments, has the authority to make a commitment to any employee to pay for an on- camera appearance and in the absence of such a commitment employees shall not be entitled to compensation under this Article.
