Online Professional Development Clause Samples
The Online Professional Development clause establishes the terms under which employees or participants may access and engage in professional development activities through online platforms. Typically, this clause outlines eligibility criteria, the types of courses or training covered, and any requirements for completion or reimbursement. By clearly defining the scope and expectations for online learning, the clause ensures that both parties understand their responsibilities and helps facilitate skill enhancement in a flexible, accessible manner.

The BOARD shall work with the UNION to ensure that every CPS school shall have access to Board-provided free online professional development classes that meet requirements for ISBE licensure renewal. The BOARD shall advocate that ISBE allow schools to provide ISBE credit for grade- level, curriculum, and faculty meetings.

Online Professional Development. No less than two (2) times per semester, the Early Dismissal Professional Development time shall be directed toward the completion of Online Professional Development (Currently GCN). No employee shall be required to show proof of completion of Online Professional Development until ten (10) school days after the last Early Dismissal which was allotted for Online Professional Development, per year.
