Open-Pit Facilities. MMC proposes to expand and combine the existing Northwest 29, Mud Pit, and V2 WRSA into an open pit referred to as the Mud Pit (with resource areas Mud Pit 1 and Mud Pit 2); expand the Valmy Pit and a portion of the V2/V3 WRSA into an open pit referred to as the Valmy Pit (with resource areas Valmy North, Valmy South, Crossfire, and Crossfire South); and expand the Antler and Basalt pits, consuming the South WRSA and a portion of the Northwest WRSA to create the New Millennium Pit (with resource areas East Basalt, Antler, and Battle Cry).
