Common use of Operations Transfer Clause in Contracts

Operations Transfer. When an operation transfers or divisions or fractions thereof are transferred, from one Representational area to another for a period of more than seven (7) regularly scheduled working days, employees affected will be given the opportunity to transfer on the basis of seniority, desire and classification. The Employer agrees that in such a transfer there shall first be a discussion with the Local Union President (or designee) in order to provide for the protection of the seniority of the employee involved. When a transfer occurs in accordance with this section, the employee involved shall have at least five (5) regularly scheduled working days’ notice.
