Optional attributes and relations Sample Clauses

The 'Optional attributes and relations' clause defines which attributes and relationships within a contract or agreement are not mandatory and may be included or omitted at the parties' discretion. In practice, this means that certain data fields, terms, or connections between entities can be specified if relevant, but their absence does not constitute a breach or incompleteness of the agreement. This clause provides flexibility, allowing the contract to be tailored to specific needs without requiring unnecessary or irrelevant information, thereby ensuring the agreement remains adaptable and focused on essential terms.
Optional attributes and relations. For all attributes and relations that are modelled as optional (i.o.w. not mandatory, or zero to 1, or zero to many) the following applies. In case the bank has this data available, it is required for delivery. The optionality only implies that the bank is not required to have this data. For functional attributes that are required, the existence of a value is validated by a validation rule. (See Appendix B for signalling validation rules) Also, for required child records (cardinalities 1-to-1 or 1-to-1..n), the existence of the child record is validated by validation rules. (See Appendix A & B for both blocking and signalling validation rules)
