Common use of Optional Securities Funds Clause in Contracts

Optional Securities Funds. (a) (1) With respect to Debt Securities of any series for which an Officers' Certificate or supplemental indenture pursuant to Section 301 provides that the Debt Securities of such series are exchangeable for Capital Securities, the Company may elect to establish a fund (referred to herein as the "Optional Securities Funds") to which funds may at any time be designated by the Company as provided in Section 1502 as if such Optional Securities Funds were Securities Funds (as defined in Article Fifteen) to be used to pay the principal of the Debt Securities of such series.
