The 'Orientation for New Teachers' clause establishes the requirement for newly hired teachers to participate in an introductory program before or at the start of their employment. Orientation for New Teachers. The Board may require new teachers to report for a new teacher orientation day, in addition to the regular one hundred eighty-four (184) day teacher calendar. If a new teacher is required to report, the teacher shall be paid their pro-rated per diem rate.
