Other Attorney Clauses. See California Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 2-200(A). These clauses may be appropriate where the attorney contemplates working with another attorney who is not a partner, associate or shareholder of the attorney. Xxxxxxxx associate counsel fees as a cost in an hourly fee case is appropriate, but is a suspect practice in contingency fee litigation. Separate sample clauses are therefore offered for hourly and contingency fee cases.
