Common use of Overhead Work Restrictions Clause in Contracts

Overhead Work Restrictions. Under no conditions shall the Contractor operate or move cranes, hoists or similar equipment within 20 feet of overhead electrical conductors, guy wires, or substations, unless prior authorization for such operations is obtained from Battelle, giving full details of the method of equipment operations. Authorization from Battelle shall also be obtained when transporting materials, machinery, or other equipment, which establishes a height exceeding 15 feet from the road and/or ground surface.
