Common use of OWNER May Stop the Construction Clause in Contracts

OWNER May Stop the Construction. A. If the Construction is defective, or DESIGN/BUILDER fails to supply sufficient skilled workers or suitable materials or equipment, or fails to furnish or perform the Construction in such a way that the completed Construction will conform to the Contract Documents, OWNER may order DESIGN/BUILDER to stop Construction or any portion thereof, until the cause for such order has been eliminated; however, this right of OWNER to stop Construction will not give rise to any duty on the part of OWNER to exercise this right for the benefit of DESIGN/BUILDER or any other party.
