Owner’s Right to Suspend Work. The Owner may at any time suspend the Work or any part thereof, immediately and verbally for reasons of safety, or by giving reasonable notice to the Contractor in writing. The Work shall be resumed by the Contractor within ten (10) days after the date fixed in the written notice from the Owner to the Contractor to do so. The Owner shall reimburse the Contractor for reasonable expenses directly incurred by the Contractor in connection with the Work under this Agreement as a result of such suspension. When the whole or any portion of the Work is suspended for any reason, the Contractor shall properly cover, secure, and protect or cause to be so protected, such Work as may be liable to sustain injury from any cause.
