Ownership and Proceeds. All recyclable materials placed for collection shall be owned by and be the responsibility of the resident until the materials are collected by the Contractor. Once collected, the material then becomes the property and responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for transporting, processing, and marketing the collected recyclable materials. Any non-recyclable material collected shall be disposed of by and at the expense of the Contractor in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
