Common use of Ownership of Existing and Independently Developed Intellectual Property Clause in Contracts

Ownership of Existing and Independently Developed Intellectual Property. Notwithstanding anything else stated herein, each party shall continue to own all of its Intellectual Property that existed as of the Effective Date. Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the parties, each party shall own all right, title and interest in the Intellectual Property that it develops independently of the other party during the period from the Effective Date through the Termination Date.
