PARENT CONFERENCING. 1. There shall be five (5) minimum student instructional days at all elementary and middle schools for the purpose of providing teacher time for Fall parent conferencing for two (2) hours after the student instructional day ends provided that the last scheduled parent conference for that day has been completed. The dates for the Fall parent conferences shall be determined and scheduled at the time that the school year calendar is adopted. Per Section O.1. of this Article, if Fall Night Conferences is mutually selected by the teachers and principal as one of the two (2) required night events, the following shall apply: The Evening Parent Conference shall be determined by a vote of the certificated staff. Elementary and middle school teachers shall be allowed to end their workday at the same time as the minimum student instructional day ends on the final day of parent conferences, provided that the last scheduled parent conference for that day has been completed. All elementary and middle school teachers shall be available at their respective school sites, in a centralized location with appropriate security, to conference with parents for two (2) consecutive hours during the 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. window. A teacher may leave the night conference at the conclusion of his/her last conference. Conferences can be held virtually or in person. The teacher will schedule a conference with the parent on a mutually agreed option. Teachers at each elementary and middle school shall be allowed to end their Fall night conferencing instructional workday at the same time as the minimum student instructional day ends. PARENT CONFERENCING. The District will provide time during the contractual day for the purpose of scheduled parent conferences as required by IEPs (Individual Education Plans). Such time will be provided to the primary special education teacher and the related service providers as indicated on the IEP. If a parent conference is scheduled during the instructional time provided by the teacher, the conference may be held with approval of the appropriate school administrator.

Parent conferencing on student progress shall be scheduled and 1010 performed before or after the regular school day during a three-week 1011 period designated by the site staff in collaboration with the site 1012 administrator in each of the first and second trimesters or quarters 1013 unless the staff and the site administrator at the school site agree to 1014 schedule parent conferences on ten (10) minimum days (5 days in the 1015 fall and 5 days in the spring to be agreed upon prior to the end of 1016 school in the previous year) and adjust the remaining school days 1017 sufficient instructional minutes to meet the minimum annual 1018 instructional minute standard for students.
