Parental Consent. If one parent/guardian of a student consents to or approves a course of action, both parents/guardians will be deemed to have given such consent or approval, and INSPIRE shall not be obliged to obtain the consent of both parents/guardians. Where the need arises, INSPIRE may authorise the taking of such action as INSPIRE deems necessary or desirable in the circumstances, including obtaining medical examination or treatment of a student, calling for further medical or specialist advice or treatment or the removal of the student to a hospital or other location, all expenses thereby incurred being for the parents’/guardians’ account. INSPIRE will endeavour to contact one or both parents/guardians in the above circumstances and endeavour to obtain their consent but where neither parent/guardian can be reasonably contacted or if INSPIRE deems that the circumstances do not reasonably allow for such contact to be made, INSPIRE is hereby authorised to take such action as it deems necessary or desirable in the interest of the student and INSPIRE.

Once images are in circulation or have been published, it may be impossible to remove them, although every effort will be made to ensure they are not used in future publications.

You may take away consent for your child at any time however you cannot take away consent for an action that has already occurred. You have the right to determine whether you will accept or decline any Early Steps service and may decline a service after first accepting it, without it affecting other services. Early Steps must provide written notice and obtain consent from you in order to obtain, release or exchange personally identifiable information concerning your child and family except in certain circumstances. This also includes the verbal sharing of personally identifiable information. If you do not give Early Steps consent to release your personally identifiable information, your information will not be released. Early Steps cannot use due process hearing procedures to challenge a parent’s refusal to provide consent.
Parental Consent. Parents may, at their discretion, provide written consent to Provider to allow Provider to offer their child’s artwork on a public gallery or otherwise use the child’s artwork and related information as described in Exhibit “A”. Provider does not violate this DPA when acting with parents’ consent, including but not limited to offering a child’s artwork for sale in the public gallery. To the extent there is a conflict between parental consent and this DPA, the parents’ consent controls.
