Payment for Education. 1. Credit for additional graduate credit hours will occur at the beginning of each semester only. An unofficial transcript, grade report or a letter from the college or university must be submitted to the Business Official prior to the start of each semester. No credit will be given for duplication of course work unless credit is recognized by the New York State Bureau of Certification. 2. Graduate hours and pre-approved undergraduate hours relating to an educational field, will be reimbursed in blocks of six (6) hours to a maximum of Bachelor plus sixty (60) hours or a Masters plus thirty (30) hours, whichever is applicable. A revised Salary Notice will be sent to the employee for his/her signature when the transcript indicates the accumulated hours result in a block of six (6) hours for additional payment. An official transcript is required upon completion of the Master’s degree before a revised salary notice will be issued.
