Common use of Payment of Debentures Clause in Contracts

Payment of Debentures. The Corporation shall pay the Principal of and interest on the Debentures on the dates and in the manner provided in the Debentures. Principal and interest shall be considered paid on the date due if the Trustee or any Paying Agent holds on that date money sufficient to pay all Principal and interest then due, provided that, if Debentures are to be redeemed, notice of such redemption has been duly given pursuant to this Indenture or provision therefor satisfactory to the Trustee has been made. The Corporation shall pay interest on overdue Principal at the rate borne by the Debentures; it shall pay interest on overdue installments of interest at the same rate to the extent lawful.
