Payment of Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) Contributions. Pursuant to Government Code Section 20615, and effective February 1, 1984, the District will pay 0.05187 (five percent) of the employee's contribution to the Public Employees Retirement System. As a result of the Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act (PEPRA) of 2013, employer paid member contributions (EPMC’s) are prohibited for employees hired on or after January 1, 2013.
