Payments to Others by Contractor. The Contractor agrees that Contractor will comply with the requirements of Section 2.2-4354 of the Code of Virginia regarding Contractor’s payment to other entities and that Contractor will take one of the two actions permitted therein within seven (7) calendar days after receipt of amounts paid to Contractor by the City. The Contractor agrees that Contractor shall indemnify and hold the City harmless for any claims resulting from failure of the Contractor to make prompt payments to all persons supplying him equipment, labor, tools, or material in prosecution and completion of the Work provided for in the Contract.
