Common use of Period of Accrual of Interest Clause in Contracts

Period of Accrual of Interest. The Notes will bear interest from January 29, 1997 (the "Issue Date"). Interest on each Note will cease to accrue from the due date for the principal thereof unless (i) the maturity of Notes has been accelerated pursuant to Section 9 of the Conditions and/or (ii) upon due presentation of the Note, the payment of principal is improperly withheld or refused.
