Personal Deferral. At any time on or before November 25, but as early as possible, an academic appointee may defer consideration for a period of one year by notifying the ▇▇▇▇ in writing. This deferral may be taken only once at the time of consideration of an appointment with tenure or at the time of renewal of tenure track. A personal deferral need not be taken before a ▇▇▇▇’▇ deferral can be granted. A personal deferral shall no longer be available after the FTPC has considered an application for tenure and provided a two-year extension.
