Common use of Personal Identifying Information/Breach Clause in Contracts

Personal Identifying Information/Breach. The Contractor shall ensure all personal identifying information, financial information, and other information made available to the Contractor by, or on behalf of, the County, or acquired or developed by the Contractor in the performance of the Contract (unless publicly available) is kept confidential, secured, and protected to prevent unauthorized access. In the event of unauthorized access or other security breach, the Contractor shall immediately notify the County and at its sole expense comply with all requirements of RCW 19.255.010. Upon Contract expiration or termination all confidential information shall be returned to the County or destroyed at the County’s discretion.
