Pest Control; Bed Bugs. (i) The Tenants acknowledge that pest control prevention, and an immediate response in the event of infestation, particularly with respect to members of the cimicidae family, commonly referred to as bed bugs, is critical to ensuring a clean, healthy environment for Permitted Residents of the Tenant Facilities, residents of the University Facilities, and members of the University community. The Tenants agree to establish a third party pest control contract with a contractor that is certified in handling all pests and has a record of success in handling any particular pest problem at issue in the Tenant Facilities. (ii) If desired by the Tenants, the University agrees to cooperate in good faith to assist the Tenants in establishing an independent contract with the University’s third party pest control vendor.
