Common use of Pet Care Benefits Clause in Contracts

Pet Care Benefits. If You suffer a Disability during Your Overseas Journey or Your scheduled Common Carrier is delayed and as a result of this, You are unable to return Home on the scheduled return date, We will reimburse for Your pet’s (dog and/or cat only) continued stay at the pet hotel, kennel or cattery where the pet is deposited with during Your Overseas Journey following Your inability to collect the pet on the scheduled collection date. 1. We will pay the amount stated in the Schedule of Benefits regardless of the number of pet; 2. Written confirmation must be provided by and obtained from the pet hotel, kennel or cattery, clearly stating the period of stay of Your pet, the original collection date and actual collection date after the period of extended stay; and 3. If the delay is due to Common Carrier, written confirmation must be provided by and obtained from Common Carrier provider, clearly stating the reason and period of delay; and 4. If the delay is due to You suffering a Disability, written medical reports must be provided by and obtained from the attending Physician advising delay of the return date on medical grounds as covered under Benefit 1A – Overseas Medical Expenses.
