Plans Examination Clause Samples
The Plans Examination clause establishes the process by which submitted plans, drawings, or specifications are reviewed and approved by a designated party, typically the owner or an authorized representative. In practice, this clause requires the contractor or designer to submit detailed plans for review before work begins, and may outline timelines for review, required documentation, and procedures for addressing comments or required revisions. Its core function is to ensure that all work proceeds according to agreed-upon standards and requirements, minimizing misunderstandings and reducing the risk of costly errors or rework during the project.
