Platform IP License Clause Samples
A Platform IP License clause grants one party the right to use intellectual property owned or controlled by the platform provider, typically for the purposes of accessing, integrating with, or utilizing the platform's services. This license may specify the scope of permitted use, such as allowing the licensee to use software, trademarks, or proprietary technology solely in connection with the platform, and may include restrictions on sublicensing or modification. The core function of this clause is to clearly define the rights and limitations regarding the use of the platform's intellectual property, thereby reducing the risk of infringement disputes and ensuring both parties understand their respective rights.
