Common use of Poll Clause in Contracts

Poll. Subject to paragraph 12 (Limitation on Adjournments) below, if at such Meeting a poll is demanded it shall be taken in such manner and subject as hereinafter provided either at once or after an adjournment as the Chairman directs and the result of such poll shall be deemed to be the resolution of the Meeting at which the poll was demanded as at the date of the taking of the poll. The demand for a poll shall not prevent the continuance of the Meeting for the transaction of any business other than the motion on which the poll has been demanded.
