POTENTIAL ADDITIONAL WORK SCOPE. The Contractor may also be called upon to provide services and construction to support Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) initiatives in the event of a terrorist threat, an actual terrorist incident, or other incident. This will require capabilities that will not specifically be evaluated under this solicitation. These capabilities may include, but not be limited to, implementing measures to reduce environmental vulnerabilities, deterring terrorism and development of capabilities to combat and manage consequences and/or responding to hazardous, toxic, or radiological threats or incidents. These activities may involve weapons of mass destruction or other terrorist weapons. Additionally, the contractor may also be called upon to provide services for planning, design, and construction of measures required for population, area, and infrastructure and other protection efforts to include security engineering, vulnerability surveys, application of engineering evaluations and/or modifications of facilities to deter, defend against, and mitigates the effects of environmental threats, disasters, and attacks.
