Common use of PREAMBLE/PURPOSE Clause in Contracts

PREAMBLE/PURPOSE. 1.01 This AGREEMENT made and entered into, by and between Compass Group Canada at London Health Sciences (“Employer”), and Workers United Canada Council (“Union”), is for the purpose of providing a clear and concise document by which the parties can equitably establish a relationship within the meaning of the Ontario Labour Relations Act as amended from time to time, and to provide machinery for the prompt and equitable disposition of grievances to establish and maintain satisfactory working conditions, hours and wages for all employees who are subject to the provisions of this Agreement.
