Common use of Precautions Clause in Contracts

Precautions. Contractor shall be responsible for the safety of its operations and the operations of each Subcontractor. Contractor shall initiate and maintain reasonable safety precautions and programs designed to promote safety and prevent injury to persons or damage to property on, about or adjacent to the Site. Contractor shall erect and maintain reasonable safeguards for the protection of workers and the public. Contractor shall exercise reasonable efforts to eliminate or xxxxx reasonably foreseeable safety hazards created by or otherwise resulting from performance of the Work. At least thirty (30) Days prior to commencement of activities at the Site, Contractor shall submit to GEC for review a safety and security plan. GEC and its consultants, representatives, lenders, etc. shall at all times adhere to Contractor’s safety and security plans and programs.
