Preferential Hire. Preferential hire, pursuant to the provisions found in this Agreement, shall be given to residents of the area in which the work is being performed, if they are qualified to perform the work requested by the employer.
Preferential Hire. In the event a plant of the Company in which there is a bargaining unit covered by the CAW Security is closed, the Company will give consideration to laid off employees for permanent work opportunity in other plants and offices of the Company. A laid- off employee desiring to exercise his preferential hiring rights under the conditions of this paragraph shall make written application for employment at other plants covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the USW and Titan during the period of time he continues to accumulate service for recall purposes at the plant from which he was laid off with recall rights.

Memorandum of Understanding #5 Skilled Trades Supplemental Agreement In the event the Company determines that it requires Journeypersons to perform Skilled Trades functions, or is required by law to hire Journeypersons to perform Skilled Trades functions, the Company will meet with the Union to negotiate a Skilled Trades Supplemental Agreement. Tool allowance $400.00 per year maintenance employee provided that receipts are provided to the Company for applicable tools replaced.
