Common use of Preparation Leave Clause in Contracts

Preparation Leave. a. A teacher, who is transferred at the Board's initiative to a new school and to a significantly different assignment during the school year, shall be entitled, when circumstances warrant, to paid leave of up to five (5) working days in order to prepare for the new assignment. The amount of such leave, if any, to be granted under this section shall be determined by the Superintendent or designate.
