Common use of Prescription Clause in Contracts

Prescription. The Notes and Coupons will become void unless claims in respect of principal and/or interest are made within a period of ten years (in the case of principal) and five years (in the case of interest) after the Relevant Date (as defined in Condition 7 (Taxation)) therefor. There shall not be included in any Coupon sheet issued on exchange of a Talon any Coupon the claim for payment in respect of which would be void pursuant to this Condition or Condition 5.2 (Presentation of definitive Notes and Coupons) or any Talon which would be void pursuant to Condition 5.2 (Presentation of definitive Notes and Coupons).
