Common use of Present and Former Authority Members and Public Officials Clause in Contracts

Present and Former Authority Members and Public Officials. No present or former member or officer of the Authority (except participant commissioners), no employee of the Authority who formulates policy or influences decisions with respect to the Program, and no public official or member of a governing body or state or local legislator who exercises functions or responsibilities with respect to the Program, during this person's tenure or for one year thereafter, will have any direct or indirect interest in Housing Assistance Program (HAP) Contracts or in any proceeds or benefits arising from them, other than those outlined within the Administrative Services Agreement. HUD may waive this provision for good cause under certain circumstances.
