Common use of Preservation and Maintenance of Property Clause in Contracts

Preservation and Maintenance of Property. Borrower shall not destroy, damage or substantially change the Property, allow the Property to deteriorate, or commit waste. Borrower shall cause the Property to comply with all local codes, ordinances, zoning ordinances, the Model Energy Code and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (“HUD”) Section 8 Housing Quality Standards, as set forth in Section 370.601 of the Rules.
