Previous Workplace Agreements Clause Samples

The "Previous Workplace Agreements" clause defines how any prior employment agreements or arrangements between the parties are treated in light of the new contract. Typically, this clause states that earlier agreements are either superseded or remain in effect only to the extent they do not conflict with the new terms. For example, if an employee had a prior confidentiality agreement, this clause clarifies whether that agreement is replaced or supplemented by the new contract. Its core function is to prevent confusion or disputes by clearly establishing which terms govern the employment relationship moving forward.
