Common use of Process Agent and Service of Process Clause in Contracts

Process Agent and Service of Process. Lessee shall, not later than the execution date of this Lease, irrevocably designate, appoint and empower a duly authorised agent for service of process in the State of New York reasonably acceptable to Lessor in any suit or proceeding with respect to this Lease. A copy of any such process served on such agent shall be promptly forwarded by airmail by the person commencing such proceeding to Lessee at its address set forth in Appendix 2B, but the failure of Lessee to receive such copies shall not affect in any way the service of such process as aforesaid. Lessee further irrevocably consents to the service of process out of any of the aforementioned courts in any such action or proceeding by the mailing of copies thereof by registered or certified airmail, postage prepaid, to Lessee at its address set forth in Appendix 2B. The foregoing, however, shall not limit the rights of Lessor to serve process in any other manner permitted by Law or to bring any legal action or proceeding or to obtain execution of judgment in any jurisdiction.
