Prohibition Against Alienation or Assignment. The Executive, his surviving spouse, and any other beneficiary(ies) under this Agreement shall not have any power or right to transfer, assign, anticipate, hypothecate, mortgage, commute, modify or otherwise encumber in advance any benefit which may become payable hereunder. No benefits shall be subject to seizure for the payment of any debts, judgments, alimony or separate maintenance owed by the Executive or the Executive’s beneficiary(ies), or be transferable by operation of law in the event of bankruptcy, insolvency or otherwise. In the event the Executive or any beneficiary attempts to assign, commute, hypothecate, transfer or dispose of the benefits which may become payable hereunder, the Bank’s liabilities shall forthwith cease and terminate.
