Common use of Prohibition of Assignment and Other Transfers Clause in Contracts

Prohibition of Assignment and Other Transfers. Tenant shall not, except as otherwise provided herein, without the prior written consent of Landlord: (a) assign, mortgage, pledge, encumber or otherwise transfer this Lease or any interest under the Lease; or (b) sublease all or any part of the Premises. The consent of Landlord to any assignment, other transfer or sublease of this Lease and the term and estate hereby granted shall not relieve Tenant of the obligation to obtain such consent to any further assignment or other transfer.
