PROMOTION DIFFERENTIAL Clause Samples

A Promotion Differential clause defines the additional compensation an employee receives when temporarily assigned to a higher-level position or promoted. Typically, this clause outlines the percentage increase or specific amount added to the employee's base pay during the period of the higher-level assignment, and may specify eligibility criteria or duration limits. Its core function is to ensure fair and transparent pay adjustments for employees taking on greater responsibilities, thereby incentivizing upward mobility and addressing pay equity during temporary or permanent promotions.
