Promotional Trial Service Employee. employee serving a six (6) month period of trial service upon promotion 5 to determine their suitability for continued employment in the job profile to which the 6 employee was promoted, such period to begin on the date of their appointment to a higher 7 job profile from a certified eligible list. During the period of promotional trial service, the 8 employee shall be returned to the job profile and department from which the employee 11 promoted would not be in the best interest of the County.

During the period of promotional trial service, the 8 employee shall be returned to the job profile and department from Juvenile Custody Service Specialists bargaining unit without recourse to the grievance procedure if in the opinion of the employee’s supervisor their continued service in the classification to which the employee 11 they were promoted would not be in the best interest of the County.
