Proof of Insurance and Other Requirements: Endorsements and Certificates. 16.1.8.1. Contractor shall not commence Work nor shall it allow any Subcontractor to commence Work under the Project, until Contractor and its Subcontractor(s) have procured all required insurance and Contractor has delivered in duplicate to the District all insurance certificates indicating the required coverages have been obtained, and the District has approved these documents. If the District requests copies of Contractor’s insurance policies and/or endorsements from Contractor, Contractor shall provide them within fourteen (14) days. 16.1.8.2. Endorsements, certificates, and insurance policies shall include the following: 16. 1.8.2.1. A clause stating: “This policy shall not be amended, canceled or modified and the coverage amounts shall not be reduced until notice has been mailed to the District and Construction Manager stating date of amendment, modification, cancellation or reduction. Date of amendment, modification, cancellation or reduction may not be less than thirty (30) days after date of mailing notice.”
