Common use of Protection of Student Data Clause in Contracts

Protection of Student Data. Snappet and Client acknowledge that provision of the Platform may require Snappet to collect, process, store, or view information that identifies or is linked to a specific student Licensed User, including Education Records or Personally Identifiable Information in such Education Records, as such terms are defined in in 34 CFR § 99.3, whether created or submitted by Client or Licensed Users or is gathered by Snappet through operating the Platform (collectively, “Protected Student Data”) such as a name, address, student identification number, phone number, email address, gender, date of birth, ethnicity, race, disabilities, school, grade, grades and grade point averages, grade level promotion and matriculation, coursework, test scores, assessment data, highest grade completed, attendance, school discipline history, narratives input by students about their own goals and learning plans, communications with teachers and other students, notes and feedback to or about students, observations from students’ mentor about individual students, college admission test scores, AP and IB test information, college eligibility and acceptance, and employment.
