Common use of Protective equipment and clothing purchased by the Department or for which the employee was reimbursed pursuant to Section 12 Clause in Contracts

Protective equipment and clothing purchased by the Department or for which the employee was reimbursed pursuant to Section 12. 1 as of its initial effective date and thereafter, shall remain the property of the Department and shall be returned to the Department upon an employee's separation from employment. The employee is responsible for the safekeeping of all City purchased clothing and equipment. Except when expressly approved by a Staff Officer, such equipment shall be kept at the fire station to which the employee is assigned. Such clothing and equipment shall not be used by employees for other than work for the Seattle Fire Department.
