Provision of Required Materials in Alternative Formats. The STATE or the MCO may provide in an alternative (other than paper) format enrollment materials such as a PCNL, Provider Directory and EOC or Member Handbook, or materials otherwise required to be available in writing under 42 CFR § 438.10(c), pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, § 256B.69, subd 30. Any materials provided by the MCO in an alternative format must meet the requirements of 42 CFR § 438.10(c)(5).If the MCO provides the materials in an alternative format, the materials must also comply with the accessibility standards of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The STATE or Local Agency, as applicable, shall inform a Potential Enrollee of the availability of an MCO’s PCNL in an alternative format. If the Potential Enrollee requests an alternative format of the PCNL, a record of that request shall be retained by the STATE or Local Agency.
