Common use of Purchase and Disposition of Equipment Clause in Contracts

Purchase and Disposition of Equipment. a. For purposes of this Section, “Equipment” means tangible, non-expendable personal property having a useful life of more than one year and a net acquisition cost of more than $5,000 per unit. However, for purposes of information technology equipment, the monetary threshold does not apply (except as provided below for software and storage devices). Information technology equipment shall be tracked for the mandatory line categories listed below: Network Personal Computer Printer/Plotter Server Storage devices that will contain Client information. Storage devices that will not contain Client information when the acquisition cost is $100 or more. Software when the acquisition cost is $100 or more.
