Purpose of Provisions. The purposes of this Agreement are to prescribe the wage rates, hours and conditions of employment of employees in the occupational classi- fications set out in Schedule “C” of this Agreement; to provide a proced- ure for the prompt adjustment of differences arising from or pertaining to this Agreement; and to set forth various other provisions relative to the rights, privileges, duties and obligations of the employees, the Union and the TTC; in order to assure an efficient and uninterrupted transit service to the public. Words importing the plural shall, unless the context otherwise requires, include the singular as the case may be and vice versa.
