Common use of Quality and Quantity Inspection Clause in Contracts

Quality and Quantity Inspection. 4.2.1 The quantity of the Goods stated in the Transportation Documents shall be based on the weight determined at the Place of Shipment. 4.2.2 Unless otherwise agreed by the Parties in accordance with the procedure set out in the Contract, the quality and quantity of the Goods may, at the Buyer’s election, be verified at the Place of Destination by an an independent-recognised inspector appointed by the Parties to perform quality and quantity inspection of the Goods such as SGS (or similar internationally recognized inspection company mutually agreed between the Parties) ("Inspector") in accordance with the standard practice at the Place of Destination. The costs of the inspection pursuant to this Article 4.2.2 shall be borne by Buyer. Seller shall, at its own cost and expense, have the right to have a representative present to witness the inspection.
